Dr. H. Norman Wright

Dr. H. Norman Wright is a licensed marriage, family and child therapist who had a private practice for over 30 years. He currently serves as Research Professor of Christian Education at the Talbot School of Theology. As a counselor and educator, his primary focus is in grief and trauma counseling and critical incident debriefings. Part of his work is offering training and curriculum in loss, crisis, and trauma to hospitals, health professionals, and social work organizations, as well as community wide grief recovery seminars. He has provided those seminars and his counseling expertise in the aftermath of traumatic events that have occurred around the nation including 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, and mass shootings. Dr. Wright is a prolific author, having written more than 90 books including Experiencing Grief, The New Guide to Crisis and Trauma Counseling, and Recovering From the Losses of Life.
