Buck Oliver first appeared in “The Green Ring Conspiracy” as a cunning con-artist, a partner to the wily Mr. Skint, who made a living tricking people out of their money. After Buck’s time in juvenile detention, Eugene and Katrina brought him into their home as their foster son. Eventually, Buck became a true member of the family, adopted forever and always. Now Buck can proudly say that he is a Meltsner, and his best friend Jules couldn’t be happier for him.
Connie has worked at Whit’s End since she moved to Odyssey. She is spontaneous and never inclined to hold back what she’s thinking, but she has a strong heart for discipleship—especially toward the kids at Whit’s End.
Connie's half-sister, Jules first appeared at the funeral of June Kendall. Jules came to stay with Connie to escape California and has been the source of delight and trouble in Odyssey since then. She's not a Christian, and believes that life is a "food chain."
